I think this scene catches my eye every time I hike through the Narrows. The river widens into a calm pool that flows between a large boulder and the canyon wall. As you are walking downstream, this stand of colorful trees gets framed in the distance and reflects in the water. This year, the colors were spectacular and I just had to stop to frame this up once again. This time though, there wasn’t a stitch of a breeze which allowed me to slow my shutter speed down to smooth the water out without worrying about having the leaves being blurred.
