This is an older image I decided to reprocess this morning. Either the software is a lot better today, or I just didn’t know what I was doing back then! I am sure it is a little of both.

This was my third trip to the Wave (hard to believe!). I was there in November, December, and January. My friends and I made this trip with the thought of getting some pools of water in the Wave since a storm front was moving in. Little did we know it would snow! Since this is what Mother Nature gave us, we were excited at the prospect of having the red rocks blanketed in white stuff. It wasn’t going to be easy though. The trek in took over twice as long since slickrock gets really SLICK covered in ice and snow! Once there, we were a bit disappointed that the majority of the rock features were completely covered and offered little photo opportunities. This was probably my favorite from the the day.

  1. This one just jumps off the page, Monte. Terrific colors and composition. Thar’s gold in that repository of unprocessed images. 🙂
