Website Update-Mobile Friendly with Fresh New Look

    Updated Website
Screen clip of 2017 website update.

It was time to update my website to keep up with today’s trends in mobile devices and while I was at it, I decided to go with a cleaner look. Hopefully you will find the site enjoyable to view no matter what device you are using. If you run into any problems, please let me know!

As in the past, I have been using the awesome website tools from The Turning Gate to create my site. Their new Backlight product was a breeze to use. I would recommend them to anyone interested in building there own website.

Now I need to get busy and add some new pictures. Expect that to happen soon.

I have one of my favorite images featured on both the cover and on a double page spread of the May/June issue of Colorado Life Magazine. Daybreak at North Clear Creek Falls was selected to be part of an article on Colorado waterfalls. I am really impressed with how it turned out. If you haven’t ever seen Colorado Life Magazine, I encourage you to have a look, especially if you live in Colorado. They share lots of interesting facts about the state and highlight a variety of things to do and see throughout the region.

    New Website Update

I started working on updating my website last August, but one thing after another kept me away from really focusing on getting it done.  At one point I worked on moving it to a paid hosting site (in fact I switched for a couple of hours!), only to find what I should have known from the beginning – I don’t like giving up control! Well after many hours at the computer, I can say it is done. (more…)

    Website Update Completed

I have finished updating my website using the latest Lightroom templates from The Turning Gate. It truly amazes me what can be accomplished with these tools. The new CE3 versions offer a responsive design that adapts the pages and galleries according to the viewer’s device. The shopping cart is now supported on mobile devices as well. I didn’t change the overall look of the site, but did take the opportunity to increase the default viewing area and add social media links. I also added some images to the Portfolios and implemented links to make it easier to navigate around the galleries. Take a look around and let me know what you think!

Fresh New Look for Monte Trumbull Photography

I have spent the last couple of weeks working on a major refresh of my website and blog and am now happy to say it is ready for prime time!

I took the opportunity to change not only the looks but the organization of the site as well. I added a Portfolios section that contains galleries of my favorite images and also regrouped my entire online collection into galleries in the Stock section. I hope you find them a little bit easier to get around than in the past. The entire site was created using Lightroom templates from the Turning Gate. They have added an exciting way to publish galleries that makes it easy to add new images and update existing ones. I have to say that I am really impressed with their system. It is great for an anal person like me that just doesn’t want to give up any control!

Have a look around and let me know what you think!

Wow. For the second time this month, I have had an image selected for this collection of photos posted to Google+. The amazing thing is that I really don’t have that many people following me! Check out the collection at:

I haven’t done a lot with social media, but recently I decided to become somewhat active on Google+. I try to post an image everyday to one of the many photo related themes they have. I have had quite a few people add me to their Circles (in other words “Follow” me) and I have enjoyed interacting with them. New Gallery of Maine Images

I have updated the Recent Gallery on my website to include images from my trip to Maine this June. I spent a week in Acadia and another week travelling down the coast. Acadia was a bit of a bust. It rained almost everyday (steady). So much so that I ended up soaking my camera! The coast was very interesting to say the least with all the quaint lobster harbors and lighthouses. I will definitely be back again!

There are also a few fall images included that I hadn’t gotten processed before the last update.
