Every day leading up to the full moon last week was cloudy with showers in the evening. That included the night it was full. I swear it is always cloudy when the full moon rises (or at least when I have an opportunity to capture it). So, I decided I would at least set the alarm for early the next morning and see if there was an opportunity for shooting the moon setting. Much to my surprise there was the moon shining (more…)

I was out last Saturday morning to catch the lunar eclipse. I wasn’t too sure what to expect this far east in the country, but was happy to see most of the eclipse before the moon set behind the mountains. The moon is going down just to the right of the peak of Mt. Harvard.
