Website Update-Mobile Friendly with Fresh New Look

    Updated Website
Screen clip of 2017 website update.

It was time to update my website to keep up with today’s trends in mobile devices and while I was at it, I decided to go with a cleaner look. Hopefully you will find the site enjoyable to view no matter what device you are using. If you run into any problems, please let me know!

As in the past, I have been using the awesome website tools from The Turning Gate to create my site. Their new Backlight product was a breeze to use. I would recommend them to anyone interested in building there own website.

Now I need to get busy and add some new pictures. Expect that to happen soon.

    New Website Update

I started working on updating my website last August, but one thing after another kept me away from really focusing on getting it done.  At one point I worked on moving it to a paid hosting site (in fact I switched for a couple of hours!), only to find what I should have known from the beginning – I don’t like giving up control! Well after many hours at the computer, I can say it is done. (more…)

    Website Update Completed

I have finished updating my website using the latest Lightroom templates from The Turning Gate. It truly amazes me what can be accomplished with these tools. The new CE3 versions offer a responsive design that adapts the pages and galleries according to the viewer’s device. The shopping cart is now supported on mobile devices as well. I didn’t change the overall look of the site, but did take the opportunity to increase the default viewing area and add social media links. I also added some images to the Portfolios and implemented links to make it easier to navigate around the galleries. Take a look around and let me know what you think!

Fresh New Look for Monte Trumbull Photography

I have spent the last couple of weeks working on a major refresh of my website and blog and am now happy to say it is ready for prime time!

I took the opportunity to change not only the looks but the organization of the site as well. I added a Portfolios section that contains galleries of my favorite images and also regrouped my entire online collection into galleries in the Stock section. I hope you find them a little bit easier to get around than in the past. The entire site was created using Lightroom templates from the Turning Gate. They have added an exciting way to publish galleries that makes it easy to add new images and update existing ones. I have to say that I am really impressed with their system. It is great for an anal person like me that just doesn’t want to give up any control!

    A fresh new website!

It has been just a little over a year since I updated the look of my website, so I have spent the last week or so getting a new site ready. I decided to go with a little cleaner look this time. Once again I used the website development tools created by The Turning Gate (http://theturninggate.net/) to do all the work in Lightroom. They have made a lot of changes in the background over the last year and there are quite a few new features. You should notice that all of the galleries are now phone friendly and will automatically be displayed as thumbnails. Have a look around and let me know what you think!

    Totally updated website

If you managed to find my blog from my website Monte Trumbull Photography, you probably realize that it has changed. For those that have been there before, it looks pretty much the same. In the background though, it is an entirely a different animal.

I desperately need to update my galleries with some new images, and before I started on that, I wanted to change them to be a little more “web friendly” (no flash needed). One thing led to the other and I decided to change everything. For those of you photographers out there, this website was created entirely in Lightroom using TTG Pages. The galleries were created with TTG Highslide Pro and the nested gallery indexes were done with TTG Auto Index. I have to say I am really impressed with the the Turning Gate (TTG) stuff. Check them out at: The Turning Gate.

Have a look around my site and let me know what you think!

    Welcome to my blog!

Hi everyone. I am taking a big step (for me at least) in starting up this blog. Anyone that knows me personally realizes that I am not the most outspoken guy around. I have decided that maybe this will be a “kick-in-the-pants” for me. I plan to post a couple of times a month depending on my travels. I have over a year’s worth of images that I have not processed yet, so my goal is to start whittling away at those and post new images as I do. I would love to hear what you think. Please post a comment.
